An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Advisor to be part of a strong and high-achieving team and provide support and advice to the General Manager Engagement, Communications and Ministerial Services branch.
The Business Advisor is a key role directly supporting the General Manager and branch leadership team to lead the branch, co-ordinate branch activities, develop plans and processes, manage stakeholder relationships and support the establishment and delivery of new projects.
The Business Advisor is responsible for providing high level confidential executive support to the General Manager that enables them to efficiently use their time and talents to achieve MBIE’s outcomes and deliverables.

- Proven experience supporting senior level management including diary management.
- Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Able to organise and prioritise workloads effectively, to ensure high quality results within deadlines.
- The ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff and key internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement and discretion.
