Mō te tūranga - About the role
Step into a pivotal role as Senior Audit Manager in ANZ’s Internal Audit team, supporting the integrity of New Zealand’s financial system at the country’s largest bank and private fund manager.
You’ll deliver strategic, risk-focused assurance directly to the Board Audit Committee, using advanced digital tools and data analytics to raise the bar for audit excellence. Leading high-performing teams, you’ll oversee audits across technology domains like cyber security and cloud infrastructure, as well as major transformation initiatives.
This role offers outstanding commercial exposure and professional growth. You’ll deepen your expertise in assurance and risk, work alongside talented colleagues, and connect with ANZ’s global network. You’ll have the chance to contribute to significant transformation programmes, engage with senior leaders across New Zealand and the Pacific, and collaborate on internal audit projects across Australia, India, Europe, and beyond.

**In a typical day or week, your work may involve the following**:
Leading a team to critically analyse the appropriate use and/or effectiveness of a business’ internal controls
Support the audit owner in managing stakeholder expectations
Writing clear, concise issues working documents, focussed on risk and root cause

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Deep experience in a technology assurance focussed role, gained in a professional services firm or comparable industry.
Strong understanding of the financial services industry, with a focus on technology and program management.
Data analytics skillset, and ideally some prior experience with the use of GenAI tools.
Superior stakeholder management skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
Tertiary level qualification in a discipline of finance, law, computing, or data science, with relevant professional accreditation (such as CA, CIA or CISA).
