We are looking for two driven Advisors with exemplary stakeholder management skills to recruit students to Massey University, Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa.
The Auckland-based role has a general focus and will primarily service schools and communities in Auckland. The Wellington-based role has a National Pasifika focus and will suit someone with a strong Pasifika community network. Both roles are part of a national team and will work collaboratively with the wider team to meet the recruitment targets for Massey.
About us
The Future Students team is responsible for promoting Massey to achieve domestic recruitment objectives. This role is your opportunity to play an important part in the team, focusing on the undergraduate secondary school students and mature student markets, while enjoying a new level of success in your career.
**What it involves**:
- Working closely with the Colleges, Marketing, Web, External Relations, Communications Academic Advisers, and other service partners
- It's a multi-faceted challenge that will see you play a lead role in providing robust and insightful analysis and guidance to colleges and departments in the area of undergraduate student recruitment and engagement
- From imparting specialist expertise in key areas such as - the promotion of new and current courses, and on any other activities aimed at recruiting high-quality undergraduate students
- Expect to also be heavily involved in mid to large-scale events on and off-campus
**What you need to be successful in the appointment**:
- Demonstrated capacity for providing advice, and a proven record of accomplishment of developing strong and effective relationships in the achievement of strategic outcomes
- Experience in leading large-scale Secondary School and influencer events - on-campus and off-campus or equivalent experience with a promotional/sales focus
- Secondary school or tertiary education sector knowledge and experience would be considered advantageous
- Proven ability to establish and develop effective relationships with school communities, industry, community groups and internal stakeholders would be an advantage
- Knowledge of a Pasifika language would be advantageous, and ability to work effectively with Pasifika communities is essential (Wellington role)
- Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations and high-quality consultations to a wide range of audiences and in different settings
- Project management skills and ability to inspire colleagues from across departments and colleges
- Confidence in using MS Office and other platforms
- Have the flexibility to travel and support events after hours
- Tertiary qualified with a full New Zealand driver's licence
