**Key terms and conditions**:

- **Permanent, Full-time **_(40 hours per week)_
- **Service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week on a rotating roster **_(AM/PM/Awake shifts)_
- **_Salary: $57,740 to $61,561 per annum_**:

- **In compliance with the Holidays Act;**
- **20 days annual leave, after 12 months**:

- **10 sick days and bereavement leave after 6 months**:

- **10 days Family Violence leave, every 12 months**:

**The Service**:
Toro Mai a Ringa is a partnership with Lakes DHB under the Te Ara Tauwhirotanga model of care. Located within the community in Rotorua the residence provides support for people who have complex needs beyond the normal capability of residential mental health providers.

Its name means outstretched hands and it’s a place where people from within the Lakes area can rebuild their lives and live independently in their chosen communtiy.

By utilising different skills, knowledge, and experiences (personal and professional) we offer our clients support to build daily routines, offering on-going tools and encouragement to develop, grow and flourish.

**Key task and responsibilities**:
Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) are a bridge between our Support Workers and our Registered Health Professionals. The role is designed to support people with a degree gained in either New Zealand or overseas looking for a pathway to become registered.
- Ensures that all clients are receiving a service that is tailored to their needs and aspirations addressing psychological, physical, spiritual, and family/whanau issues
- Key working in accordance with Ember’s client pathway including planning, delivery of support and documentation.
- Co-ordinate entry and exit of clients
- Liaise with clinical teams
- Adheres to client management systems including medication management, blood testing, reviews, and reports. Adhere to Ember policies and procedures.
- Provide direct support to clients and their family/whanau on an individual and group basis to find, get and keep accommodation, work, valued roles, and relationships of choice or build readiness to do this
- Participating actively in the Residential Team
- Engaging in professional supervision, training, and development

**You will**:

- Hold a relevant degree that provides a pathway to becoming registered in New Zealand with a corresponding board, such as:

- Occupational Therapy
- DAPAANZ
- Counselling
- Social Work
- Nursing
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Hold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship
- Have a client centred, recovery-focused approach. You must unwaveringly believe in peoples ability to progress no matter the obstacles.
- Have knowledge of mental health rehabilitation approaches (e.g., cognitive remediation, psychosocial rehabilitation), experience working with coexisting addictions and/or cognitive difficulties and knowledge of Māori health approaches would be advantageous.
- Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery.
