**SUPPORT WORKER - Independent Living Service (Community based support) - Dunedin (Ōtepoti)**

**Full Time - 32-40 Hours per week (Includes one weekend shift)**

**2 - 3 positions available
**Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $29.10 (depending on qualifications)**

**About the job**:
The **Independent Living **team at Community Care Trust is seeking a dynamic individual with a can-do attitude to join their team on a full-time basis. The role involves supporting individuals to achieve their goals both in their homes and within the community. This position offers a positive, varied, and supportive team environment where every day brings new challenges and the opportunity to make a real difference.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Building rapport and positive relationships with the people we support.
- Working alongside individuals to achieve their goals.
- Supporting people to access the local community and build their support network.
- Completing competency-based trainings to enhance skills and qualifications.
- Participating in regular shifts, including one weekend day, with set hours and two permanent consecutive days off per week.
- Completing administration tasks relating to support.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a full current New Zealand driver’s license.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to complete one.
- Willingness to undergo vetting as part of the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
