Experienced Halal Slaughterman

At Silver Fern Farms we know the importance of producing quality, certified halal meat available to our customers around the world. That’s why we need more Halal Slaughtermen on our team.

**What will we provide**:

- A great team that works together and has fun doing it
- One on one training to bring you up to speed
- Relocation expenses (if applicable)
- Assistance to find local accommodation

**What’s on offer**:

- We pay a minimum of $27.00 and maximum of $35.00
- Minimum 30 hours per week
- 40 hours per week usually plus overtime opportunities in peak of season
- Earn a minimum per week of $1250 gross

Pre-employment drug testing and a medical assessment will follow the interview stage.

**Job Requirements**:
It is essential that you are a practicing Muslim, with eligibility to live and work in NZ. It is preferable that you are member of an Islamic Society in NZ.

As you are working in a small team, excellent communication skills and a great team player ethic are required. Ideally, you will be a qualified and registered Halal Slaughterman, although full training is available through Silver Fern Farms.

Previous food handling and health and safety knowledge in a production/manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
