We are currently seeking a flexible Support worker who can work between some ouf our services in Hamilton and Te Awamutu to cover unplanned leave. We are seeking Support workers who can quickly pick up shifts when needed and happy with working between services and different shifts.

Our Support Workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings, integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our clients to be as independent as possible.

You will be somebody who really thrives off helping others and who is committed to upholding high standards of care. Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests. Having experience with disability is an advantage however not essential.
- A desire to support our people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilities
- Full driver's licence and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
