We are seeking an experienced and motivated Driver / Warehouse. Living in Australia - Auckland NZ. A C2 licence is required. Fit and healthy.

** The Role**
- The driver’s job is to deliver goods to customers in & around Auckland with some trips to nearby centres.
- The driver will pick stock & load it onto the truck & then deliver goods.
- A C2 licence to drive a MR truck is essential
- As the driver is representing the company it is expected that the job will be completed accurately, efficiently & with respect to all of our customers.
- When not driving the employee is expected to assist with packing goods that will be delivered by outside transport companies.
- As a part of the packing of stock to be delivered either outside Auckland or within it is expected that this person will (if necessary) fill out con notes, pallet receipts & print off invoices & other paperwork to complete the delivery of items.
- General cleaning as part of a team operation.

**Reports to**:
The driver reports to the leading hand / supervisor (Supervisor) for instructions daily re-work to be performed. Ultimately the driver must follow instructions & accept advice regarding runs from the Supervisor as that person might have received special instructions from head office.

** Hours**:
8.00am - 4.30pm (8 hours), an unpaid half an hour is reserved for lunch & 2 x 10-minute paid tea breaks during the day - one in the morning & the other in the afternoon. The hours may be varied after consultation with head office management.

** Duties of the Driver**
- The #1 priority is to deliver stock to various customers in a timely manner without damaging stock.
- On occasions the Supervisor will instruct the driver to pack orders for dispatch by an external transport company to various customers to meet our organisational needs.
- The driver will sometimes have to complete the picking of stock.
- The Driver will periodically report short stock to the Supervisor when stock is running low so that it can be ordered. In the course of his duties the driver is to report damaged stock or other problems encountered around the warehouse to the Supervisor.
- When goods are delivered the driver must have the invoice signed which is then placed in the appropriate area in the office on return. If stock has been short delivered the driver will inform the leading hand to request credits to be raised.
- No financial decisions are to be entered into without prior permission from the Melbourne head office.
- If asked by the Supervisor the driver will unload incoming goods or assist with the emptying of containers.
- If applicable the driver will assist walk-in customers with the pickup of stock.

**Health & Safety**:

- It is the responsibility of the driver to drive in a safe manner & comply with all road rules & regulations.
- The driver will check the vehicle on a daily basis & report any alleged defects to the supervisor who must inspect the same & organise maintenance.

Part of this maintenance is to ensure that the vehicle is kept in a clean & effective state.

The driver will wear appropriate fluoro clothing & safety boots during deliveries. The driver will dress appropriately for a person delivering goods & representing our company.

The driver must unload & deliver goods in a safe manner that will not cause injury to himself or bystanders.

** General**:
It is not envisaged that the driver has a complete knowledge of products or the business. The company does not want the driver providing inaccurate information to customers. The driver is not to give specific advice regarding company policy, equipment, or on any area outside of that person’s expertise. All but the most basic of enquiries should be passed onto head office or the Supervisor. Known information such as delivery times, the number of items in a carton & so forth should be communicated to customers if asked.

The driver will at all times behave in a respectful manner. This includes towards customers, other drivers on the road & all bystanders in the performance of his duties.

If the driver encounters a problem with a customer or bystander while performing duties then the Driver should contact the Supervisor for advice, who will in turn contact the Melbourne office for advice if considered appropriate.

Cleaning of trucks & warehouses will be completed on a rotational basis.
