The Jean Todd Maternity
Service provides primary and secondary care to women in South Canterbury with
approximately 600 births ranging from normal and low-risk to complex and high
needs.
Right now, we're looking
for a Clinical Coach-Maternity to work as a practical clinical educator and
leader/change agent in the ongoing pursuit of clinical excellence and improved
health outcomes. This position works collaboratively with colleagues, new
graduates, other health staff and reports to the Clinical Maternity Manager.
The PMMR role leads the
review of selected clinical cases with a multidisciplinary team to ensue
ongoing learning and development of clinicians in the maternity service.
Skills for success in this role includes;
- NZ Fully Qualified Registered Midwife with a current APC and recent
clinical leadership experience
- Role Model for contemporary clinical practice and woman centred
care
- Understanding of Tikanga Maori
- Knowledge and compliance with legislative and best practice
requirements
- Responsible for promoting a learning environment
- Working towards or has completed the Quality Leadership
