**About the Role**
We are looking to appoint a **Yard Manager** to oversee our **Milton Construction Yard** **operations.** You will oversee the day to day running of the yard and work collaboratively with the Logistics Coordinator and Yard Staff.
You will assist with the coordination, and consolidation and ensure that maintenance is completed on the yard and site equipment.
You will communicate regularly with external suppliers, Project Managers and Site Foreman to plan deliveries. This will involve coordination of yard staff to ensure materials and equipment from our Construction Yard are consolidated in a timely manner and coordinated with the Logistics Coordinator to maximise load efficiencies.
This will result in construction materials and equipment being effectively and efficiently delivered to our construction sites to meet project requirements.
Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the depot.
**Skills and Attributes**
To be considered for this role the following attributes are essential:
- Proven team leadership, organisational, communication and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise work effectively
- Effective interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the construction industry would be an advantage however is not essential
- Be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Proficient user of software systems, such as Outlook, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, together with an interest in further developing your computer skills
- Be responsible for the safe operation of plant and yard activities
