Tenancy Manager

Blackham & Co Real Estate are proud members of the Harcourts Group and cover the South Canterbury and North Otago areas. They have a new vacancy for a Tenancy Manager to join their Timaru team on a permanent contract starting ASAP.

This exciting role will suit you if you are looking for variety, challenge, and the chance to get out of the office - you certainly won’t be desk-bound. Each day will be different, and you will be able to draw on all your skills and experience to build relationships, negotiate with tenants, and ensure compliance with legislation.

You will work closely with the Senior Property Managers to assist them with the management of the property portfolio.

You will travel throughout the South Canterbury, North Otago, and Mackenzie District, as well as respond to after-hours emergencies relating to properties within your portfolio.

Hours of work are 8.30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, based from our Ashbury office.

- Confidence to negotiate with tenants, and sometimes have hard conversations
- Responsiveness and a commitment to ‘getting things done’
- Great organisational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule to achieve tasks
- Strong technical skills (MS Office, database, tech tools including tablet/smartphone)

A current driver’s licence and safe driving record are essential for this position.
