Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled panel beater to join our automotive repair workshop. As a panel beater you will be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles, estimating the cost of repairs, and repairing vehicles to their original condition You will also be required to liaise with clients and maintain high safety standards in the workplace.

To ensure success as a panel beater, you should have experience with body repair kits, spray painting and welding equipment. Outstanding panel beaters communicate well with customers and ensure body repair work is done quickly and effectively. This role would suit someone who has panel beating experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Should be able to repair shamshed collisions (not too serious collisions)
- Assessing the extent of motor vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests.
- Managing customer expectations
- Preparing repair or modification cost estimates and finalizing agreements
- Planning, organizing, and scheduling the workflow - this is really important because as a panel beater you should be able to work on 1-3 cars per time depending on the panel, so work can be finished faster.
- Regularly updating the managing director on the progress of their repairs.
- Restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches and spray painting panels.
- Accommodating customization requests.
- Ensuring compliance to industry specification and safety standards.
- Operating recovery vehicles.

**Requirements**:

- Must be eligible to work in NZ, such as a NZ work visa, or resident etc.
- Trade qualification
- Any supporting panel beater certifications.
- Previous experience as a panel beater would be advantageous.
- General spray painting
- General welding
- Ability to use and operate panel beating tools, such as dent puller, air tools, porta power kit.
- Physically fit.
- Ability to work overtime when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
