**Here's a snapshot of this dynamic role**:
**Customer Service**
- Ensure when 'picking' orders in store during opening hours, that a high level of customer service is provided. Acknowledge customers in store & accompany customers to another aisle if they have asked you where an item is and ensure they find it.
- Provide security surveillance of customers instore - report any unusual behaviour to a supervisor
- Ensure when operating during trading hours, the impact on the customers is minimized.
**Picking Customer Orders**
- Pick customer orders following the correct process
- Scan all items that you pick
- Ensure a high level of accuracy
- A median level of targeted per hour product lines should be achieved per shift
- A high level of attention to detail and concentration must be maintained to minimise errors
**Packing Customer Orders**
- Packing customer orders following the correct packing process
- Ensuring that once an order is packed it is labelled correctly, and the carton count on the label matches the actual carton count
- Ensure the order is stacked in the correct zone location in the dispatch area
**Stock Merchandising**
- Ensure that stock is retrieved effectively to replenish the assigned areas from inwards and other locations
- Ensure that workload is prioritised as directed by the Manager
- Make note of out of stocks / over stocks and liaise effectively with Manager
- Assist in resolving any stock or count data related issues
- Assist in gap checking as required
- Assist in checking tickets and producing / changing tickets as required
- Undertake seasonal change arounds - ensure efficient transition / placement of seasonal stock until next year
- Ensure appropriate rotation of stock on the shelf and if placing stock back in the storeroom or other locations
- Ensure appropriate security of stock, personnel and plant at all times
**Loading Delivery Trucks**
- Accurate and efficient loading of trucks each night.
- Communicate through to the Load Team Leader any customers without zones or unloading points.
- Label cartons correctly, check carton count and ensure orders are stacked in the correct zone location.
- Open communication with the pick team.
