**About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance**
The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028.
**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for a Loop Traffic Data Engineer to work primarily work across several teams within our organisation. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and delivery of the loop renewals programme, together with the loop defect work for the ASM alliance.
As Loop Traffic Data Engineer, you will have a variety of responsibilities including:
- The efficient repair and operations of vehicle detection systems (loop component) and monitoring the asset availability is within the Level of Service, working closely with the systems engineer.
- Short and long-term programming and planning of loop cutting and defect work
- Attending the required Traffic Control Meetings, scheduling of works within systems and Closure Plans
- Coordinating works with other teams - such as line marking, structures and corridor teams
- Scheduling and providing the detailed Job Packs and instruction for the Loop cutting Civils crew
- Inputting monthly reports of progress against plans and budgets for loops and Level Of Service
- Providing a forecast of costs to meet set budget
- Maintaining current systems information and planning tools
- Updating and maintaining As Built loop data into Alloy, as well as QA records
- Auditing that Loop Crews for productivity targets and quality assurance
- Liaising with the capital projects where required to reduce Loop and data downtime
- Liaising with the minor project teams where required for new or amended loop cutting
- Assisting the asset manager with asset data and annual plan development
Above all, you will ensure that all works are completed on time, within budget and stringently adhere to all health and safety standards.
**About You**:
- A tertiary qualification or experience in Civil works, Electronics, pavements, asset management or IT
- Project management training advantageous
- Proven experience similar role, with management of subcontractors or work crews
- Experience in work package management from planning to delivery
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Understand and work the Auckland motorway network with a high degree of safety
- Able to understand and work from Network/Electrical and As-Built drawings
- Familiarity with quality management and quality assurance control processes
- Strong computer and IT skills such as excel, pdf mark up, word and project as well as using Computerized maintenance systems (ASM uses Alloy and Map viewer tools)
- An ability to prepare schedules and step-by-step plans
- Systematic approach to keeping accurate as-builts from site
- Understanding of Electrical circuits
- Full NZ Class 1 Driving license
- Traffic Management STMS LV 2/3NP would be an advantage.
