**Communications Specialist - Pacific**
We are seeking a part-time, collaborative Communications Specialist to lead our engagement with Pacific stakeholders and communities.

**The opportunity**
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be a key contributor to generating our brand awareness, relevance, and engagement throughout New Zealand.
We are looking for a passionate ‘story-teller’ with engagement experience in Pacific communities to develop and implement communications initiatives while upholding our organisational values of connectedness, driving a passion for change and delivering excellence.
In this role, you will support the Heart Foundation teams with communications advice and help to deliver educational communications through media, partner and internal channels.
You will also support the development of the Pacific Heartbeat programme focused on the heart health needs of New Zealand’s Pacific Island population.
**Key requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

- 5+ years’ experience in a similar communications role
- Strong community engagement experience
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner
- Proficiency in one or more Pacific languages
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in communications (desirable)
