As Finance Analyst - Strategic Control, you'll be responsible for ensuring financial information for the Business Support functions is accurate, timely and facilitates robust financial decision making and key in supporting our Strategic COntroller in the coordination of the planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles and analysis of financial results of key stratetic projects.

**Timely & accurate management accounting & reporting, planning & forecasting for Business Support functions**
- Manage monthly close for business support functions
- Deliver accurate & timely monthly reports that explain variances to budget, latest estimate & last year
- Proactively monitor and discuss cost management with department heads
- Complete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations monthly and resolve variances
- Ensure all latest estimates & budgets are prepared in accordance with business directives, and that timetables are adhered to
- Business Partner to department heads ensuring they have clear and accurate information and financial support on their projects

**Timely & accurate reporting, planning & forecasting for wider DB business**
- Deliver accurate & timely reports to explain total business performance to the DB Leadership Team, Regional & Global teams.
- Support the Strategic Controller in the co-ordination of planning, budgeting & forecasting cycle for DB (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan, Rolling Forecasts).
- In charge of the budget uploads into systems (SAP & Anaplan platform)
- Drive the business and finance team to achieve the desired results with regards to the planning & forecasting processes

**Strategic Projects**
- Support the Strategic Controller with financial analysis for key strategic projects.
- Model & analyse strategic alternatives.
- Identify key drivers, external trends, internal & external benchmarks and assumptions to assist with strategy formulation.
- Participation in any other ad-hoc projects involving strategic business control function.

Your background and experience:

- Tertiary accounting qualification, Chartered Accountancy qualification desirable
- Commercial Finance experience
- Advanced Excel skills & commercial acumen
- Strong strategic analytical skills - ability to review complex, ambiguous/incomplete data, pulling out key insights
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to search out facts without prior process/guidance
- Passion for delivering results, taking ownership and translating insights into concise practical plans for execution
- Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing skills to win support and drive decision making
- Ability to visually present analysis, key insights, facts & figures in a compelling way; tailor content to audience
- Experience managing conflicting priorities to support multiple stakeholders and decision makers
- Ability to review, analyse and interpret large amounts of data with high accuracy in short timeframes. Information prepared is used in critical decision making.
