We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic leader to join our Seasonal department in our Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt store on a permanent full time basis who also understands the importance of providing outstanding customer service to our trade and DIY customers.

The purpose of the Supervisor role is to contribute to the overall success of the company by driving sales and performance whilst providing quality customer service in the Seasonal department.

This is a great opportunity to use your leadership and organisational skills, as you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of your department. You'll lead a team and motivate them to deliver great customer service to every customer, every time. You'll use your communication and problem solving ability to help the team become more efficient and improve the customer experience.

Rostered days is as followed:
Sunday - 10.00am - 6.15pm

Monday - 10.00am - 6.15pm

Tuesday - 8.00am - 5.00pm

Wednesday - 8.00am - 5.00pm

Thursday - 6.30am - 3.30pm

For this position we are looking for an individual who has:

- A passion for GREAT customer service at all times
- Experience in supervising and leading a team, or experience as a senior team member with the desire to lead
- Ability to maximise team productivity
- Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions
- General computer skills and understanding of administrative process
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Knowledge and understanding of health & safety systems/processes
- Be physically fit as there will be prolonged walking and standing on concrete floors, manual handling and lifting.
- Previous retail experience (within a DIY/hardware environment would be an advantage). Knowledge of seasonal product like BBQs, outdoor furniture, heaters and fire places would be an advantage.
- Has great merchandising skills
- Has a ‘can do’ attitude and is good team player
- Able to work well under pressure
