Te Haeata/The Opportunity
Te Kura Kaiwhakawā/Institute of Judicial Studies (Te Kura) is the education arm of the judiciary providing education and development for judges throughout their careers.
The programme encompasses a wide range of services and activities spanning mentoring, professional development and technical training, through to enhancing human rights and gender and family violence responsiveness.
An important objective of the programmes is to support relationships between mainstream and Pasifika justice systems in ways which increase access to fair and high-quality justice for vulnerable people.
As Senior Advisor Education and Development, you will provide education leadership, legal research, analysis and advice to support the delivery of Te Kura's Pacific Justice Sector Programme.

With your demonstrated interpersonal skills and attention to detail, you are confident working alone and as part of a team. You are resilient, forward thinking and highly organised, responding positively to changing priorities. You understand and recognise cross-cultural issues and are open to continued learning about yourself and others in the diverse communities you will be working with across both New Zealand and the Pacific.

**You will have**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in education and in law
- Experience working with senior-level management and stakeholders
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to role model Pacific best practice by facilitating and delivering high quality, culturally appropriate and co-designed solutions.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
