Gisborne, New Zealand Firstlight Network Full time

Company Description
**Mō mātou - What is our story?**

At Firstgas Group you’ll be part of the team of talented specialists helping safely deliver the vital energy New Zealand needs to thrive today and in the future. We began in Taranaki and our head office is in Wellington, but our Firstlight Network, Rockgas, Firstgas, Flexgas and Gas Service NZ operations span the length and breadth of Aotearoa — so you’re never far away from our good energy. Firstgas Group is helping drive sustainability by laying the foundations for the decarbonisation of our network and developing green alternatives like New Zealand’s first renewable biomethane and hydrogen pipeline projects. We care about the communities where we live and work and are guided by principles of inclusiveness, kaitiakitanga and excellence.

**Job Description**:
We’re looking for a Manager Field Operations to help us keep the good energy flowing in Gisborne. In this new position, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and specialists to deliver the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation and maintenance of our Firstlight Network assets, working closely with the wider Firstlight Network team to achieve this. As a member of the Firstlight Network Leadership Team you will also contribute to our business strategy, planning and forecasting and will help to build a vibrant and collaborative culture across the Network team and all of Firstgas Group.

**Qualifications**:
To fill this exciting opportunity, we’re looking for someone with:

- A trade qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a people leader/coach who can get the best out of a team
- Experience in the electricity industry or a working knowledge of and field experience in another relevant industry
- Excellent relationship management, influencing and communication skills
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Passion, enthusiam and positivity about the work they do and how they can add value as a team player.

Additional Information
**Ko te aha nga hua o tenei mahi - What we can offer you**:
You’ll be valued for who you are, rewarded for what you do and supported to thrive. We’ll sweeten your (already nicely competitive) salary with a host of extra benefits including additional leave entitlements, flexible working arrangements and free insurances and health checks. We’ll fuel your professional development, keep you at the top of your game and help you build the career you want. Our award-winning wellness programme recognises you’re more than the job you do and supports you with initiatives like an annual wellness grant and access to professional wellbeing services for you and your whānau. You’ll get to work in a safe, healthy environment, supported by great people who want to see you succeed.
