**Telecommunication Technician**
We are looking for Telecommunication technicians for installation work in Waikato.
Must have hands on Experience, Strong Telecommunication & Fibre Cable knowledge
About the Role:
Work within the company processes and management systems.
Meet strict KPI's to meet internal / external customer expectations.
Supply accurate and timely information.
Work closely with the Project Manager, Support Staff and Supervisors where necessary.
Must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience installing fibre networks and cables at site.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults in network lines
- Have strong field training as an experienced splicer or copper jointer
- Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters
- Ability to communicate technical data with Project Managers and Site Supervisors
- Preparation of Optical Fibre Cable and various enclosures
- Examining drawings, specifications
- Sound knowledge of trunking work, data and fibre optic cabling, voice cabling,
- data/voice termination, cut over live network and fibre hauling and splicing
- Making connections of wires and cables to appliances
- Erecting, testing and maintenance of aerial and underground wires and cables
- Scoping and planning the civil work
**Requirements**:
- Relevant Qualification and / or Minimum 1 to 2 years Telecommunication Experience
- Chorus PTTN registration
- Good Communication Skills and Positive Attitude
- Methodical and accurate in your work practices
- Highly motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals
- First Aid & Traffic Management certificates
- Good Communication Skills and Positive Attitude
