We have a Fixed-term part-time position available as a Health Care Assistant in the Emergency department, working across Monday to Sunday based at Whakatāne Hospital.
The Health Care Assistant Role in the Emergency Department is a busy and wide-ranging role with plenty of variety that support the comfort and wellbeing of our patients and the operational efficiency of Te Ahuru o Rehuaariki.
The position involves working under the direction of the nursing team. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills in a supportive training environment catered to your needs.
A key focus for Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is to build a sustainable workforce at Whakatāne Hospital whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.
He Korero mōu | About You
Applicants must have recent experience and have completed a Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 3 or 4 (or other equivalent qualification.) You will need to be available to work across all seven days of the week, including morning and afternoon shifts on a rotational basis. Nights may be included in future rosters.
