About the role
The National Reference Laboratory is based in Epsom and has a strong team-based structure, performing a variety of pre-transfusion testing.
**The role involves**:
- Investigating antibody problems and provision of cross-matched blood
- Resolving ABO and Rh(D) typing problems
- Monitoring levels (by titration) of antibodies found during routine antenatal screening
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a manner that complies with national defined quality standards, accreditation licensing and legislative requirements
- Solving complex and difficult red cell antigen/antibody problems with the use of red cell genotyping and a unique collection of rare typing sera and rare red cells.
The role will require you to participate when competent, in a 24/7 out of hours on call service equally divided amongst the Reference team.
Your base salary will be between $ 74,842 and $ 101,741 depending on skills, experience and registration.
