We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Excavator Drivers to join our team. Starting
pay offered from $30 - $35 hourly will be fixed according to the skills and experience for 30
- 50 hours a week. However, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as
per above payrate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related
tasks, including:
**Bulk Excavation and Earthmoving**
Operate excavators and earthmoving machinery to carry out site cuts, trenching, and bulk earth removal. Excavate to required depths and profiles for foundations, retaining structures, and other civil works.

**Ground Preparation and Site Levelling**
Clear construction sites of debris, vegetation, and obstructions. Level and compact the ground using appropriate equipment to prepare for concrete footings, slabs, or piling work.

**Machine Operation and Attachment Use**
Set up and operate various excavator attachments such as buckets, hydraulic breakers, compaction wheels, and augers. Perform digging, lifting, trimming, and backfilling tasks accurately and efficiently.

**Safety and Site Coordination**
Maintain high awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operation around other workers, vehicles, and structures. Follow all on-site health and safety protocols, including use of PPE and machine safety checks.

**Equipment Servicing and Minor Repairs**
Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine servicing of machinery, including greasing, refueling, and fluid checks. Perform basic maintenance or report issues to minimize equipment downtime.

**Foundation and Structural Excavation**
Excavate for strip footings, raft slabs, pad foundations, pile caps, and basement areas in accordance with plans and ground conditions. Ensure proper slope, depth, and compaction of backfill around foundation areas.

**Site Cleanup and Support Work**
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized worksite. Remove spoil and excess material, backfill where required, and restore the site to safe conditions after excavation work is completed.

**To be successful in this role, you should have**:

- At least 3 years’ experience operating excavators or earthmoving machinery.
- Skilled in excavating and backfilling for footings, slabs, and retaining structures with accuracy.
- Knowledge of machine setup, attachments, and routine maintenance.
- Strong awareness of site safety and working around other workers and machinery.
- Able to read site plans and follow excavation layout instructions.
- Physically fit, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willing to work early mornings and weekends when required.
- Must pass a drug test and police check before starting.
