**We are looking for Pick Pack Supervisors to join our team at Gilmours Central in Palmerston North**
At Gilmours, we are trying to provide excellent service, deliver on exactly what our customers need and be the trusted foodservice provider of NZ. We are looking for a **Pick Supervisor **on our night shift, Monday to Friday (4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.)
to help us deliver on those promises via our pick pack teams.
The Role;
- Create, drive and deliver awesome customer experiences through processes and management of standards
- Be a leader amongst the biggest team at Gilmours Central with 60+ staff
- Advise on the departments’ long-term strategy and then execute it on a day-to-day basis
- In a fast-paced environment - you’ll connect with your people every day to drive the completion of customer orders to earn their loyalty and satisfaction

What are we looking for;
- An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercially savvy, customer driven, solutions
- Proven Leadership capability you can demonstrate, with the mixed roles of the team, it’s not always easy
- A voice people can follow - the ability to operate at a tier above and cascade that through a team
- The ability to self-motivate and manage alongside the ability to balance multiple priorities
- A willingness to do what needs doing - no task too hard or one I won’t do myself
- The role will report to the Pick Operations Manager - we’re looking for someone close to filling those shoes
- Understand the commercial side of warehousing and ultimately, think customer and team first
Tasks involved;
- Supervise Pick Pack staff and its Team Leaders
- Enforce department and business policies and standards
- Staff training, coaching, performance management and disciplinary procedures
- Organize staffing and arrange overtime to get the job done
- Identify and improve department processes, planning and best practices
- Host team meetings and assist in managing absence and efficiency deficits
- Oversee and be part of the accurate completion of the hundreds of daily orders for our clients
**Other Pick Supervisor positions on offer;**
The Pick team operates 24 hours a day, nearly 7 days a week - we are looking for strong-minded people wanting to step up into management at some point. There are a couple of Pick Supervisor adverts we intend to fill and are set on the following permanent hours;
Pick Supervisor (Afternoon) - Sunday - Thursday (1pm to 10:30 p.m.) 45 Hours/week.
Pick Supervisor (Night) - Monday to Friday (4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) 45 Hours/week.
