**Job Description**:
**About the role**

The Internal Auditor will support the Internal Audit Manager in providing quality and value-adding internal audit, assurance, and advisory services to Temperzone Group. The role will evaluate and contribute to the effectiveness of Temperzone’s internal controls, corporate governance, and accounting processes.

**_Key Accountabilities:_**

**_ Auditing _**
- Assisting in planning the audit
- Performing audit fieldwork
- Completing audit work papers
- Identifying audit issues and recommendations and ensuring that issues are relevant and recommendations are practical and add value.
- Always complying with the requirements of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)

**_ Reporting and Monitoring of Results_**
- Ensuring audit reports and documentation are accurate, sufficiently supported, and completed on time.
- Monitoring agreed audit recommendations to ensure that they are implemented.

**_ Business Improvement _**
- Supporting the Internal Audit Manager in:

- Participating in feasibility studies, modelling, and implementation of future business development proposals
- Participating in special project teams established to identify and resolve business problems, including reengineering of business processes.

**_ Health and Safety _**
- Demonstrating safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
- Understanding and complying with company safety and environmental policy and practice.
- Understanding and demonstrating safe work practices on the job and following standard operating procedures.
- Contributing to improving safety and environmental work practices, reporting any incidents or hazards/safety issues to your team leader, and taking action to resolve when appropriate.
- Acting with the safety of yourself and those you work with in mind.

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful**
- 2 years of internal auditing or accounting related experience
- Experience in financial systems software
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree such as Bachelor of Accounting or business studies
- Have a qualification or pursuing a qualification related to internal auditing or accounting is an advantage such as:

- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Chartered Accountant (CA) of Chartered Accountants New Zealand
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
