About this role: Number of Vacancies: 5 Work Location: Auckland Salary Range: $26.69 $35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience Employment type: Full Time, Permanent role Monday to Saturday - at least 30 hours per week, not more than 60 hours per week **What youll need to succeed**: - Honest, reliable, hardworking with a "can do"attitude and willing to learn. - Ability to work under pressure in multiple sites. - Passion for the industry - No relevant work experience is required. **The role will include, but not be limited to**: - Any other task required of you that is within your skills and capabilities that is necessary for the business of the company. - Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base. - Fill cracks or other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool. - Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools. - General labouring cleaning construction sites are required by site manager. - Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools, and equipment and transporting them around building sites. - Lay building materials such as brick, structural tile, and concrete cinder, glass, gypsum, and terra cotta block to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other st Measure distance from reference points and marks guidelines on working surface to layout - To lay bricks or blocks, spread a soft bed of mortar using a trowel, and position the block in the mortar bed. Tap the block with a trowel to level and align it, and remove any excess mortar using a trowel. Finish the mortar between the bricks with a pointing tool or trowel and break bricks to fit spaces too small for a whole brick. - Determine vertical and horizontal alignment of courses, using plumb bob, gauge line, and Fasten brick or terra cotta veneer to face of structures, with tie wires embedded in mortar between bricks, or in anchor holes in veneer brick. - Take instructions from carpenters to determine the days work and obtain plans and blueprints for each project. - May operate earthmoving machines and complete excavation work. - If this sounds like you, please send your resume and your work rights (whether you are a NZ citizen or a visa holder) through My Job Space._
