**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

ATWC has preschools in the Ōtāhuhu and Papatoetoe communities. Ko ngā tamariki te iho o a mātou mahi katoa (Children - the heart of all we do) is our reason. We are currently looking for a qualified ECE Educator, or new graduates to work with our babies and tamariki in our preschool located at Ōtāhuhu and Papatoetoe. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. We offer unique learning environment for children aged 0-5 years from all backgrounds and ethnicities supporting local families with quality affordable childcare.

**Mōu | About you**

The successful applicant will also be committed to learning with the team in their journey of weaving te reo me ona tikanga Māori within the preschool environment. You will be:

- Early childhood teaching qualification recognized by the Education Council of Aotearoa NZ
- Current Education Council Practising Certificate
- Familiar with Te Whariki early children curriculum.
- Able to establish authentic and respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and Kaiako
- Able to engage well with tamariki, whānau, and Kaiako.
- A commitment to high quality teaching and learning and be willing to go the extra mile.
- Fluent in English, a basic knowledge of te reo Māori or a Pacific Island language beneficial but not essential
- Able to design, implement, and document children’s learning to a high standard.
- Be creative, innovative, and reflective.
- Have initiative, a sense of humour, and demonstrate a strong commitment to team.
- Be physically fit, flexible, and able to adapt to the needs of tamariki, and the pre-school.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

- Have a can-do attitude and be willing to learn, develop and grow with the team
- Have excellent organisational skills.
- You must be a NZ resident or hold a valid work permit.
