**About the Role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic mammographer with an interest in women - s health who would like to join our diverse and friendly team. They will play a key role in the delivery of both the symptomatic service and Breast Screen Aotearoa (BSA) national screening programme for the eligible population of the Wellington region. Our service has state of the art equipment, capable of Tomosynthesis, and Vacuum assisted Biopsies. A flexible approach to the needs of the service is essential as there is a requirement for evening and possible weekend work.

**About the Team/Service Location**

This role offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment encouraging personal and professional development. We are a team of 13 MIT - s and 2 Health Care Assistants with a variety of full and part-timers. We work closely with Radiologist, Nurses, our Data and Admin team. We have weekly MDT meetings with our Pathologist and Surgeons.

Hutt Hospital is our home base. Screening, Assessment and Symptomatic clinics are run between Monday and Friday.

We run screening clinics at Kenepuru (4 days), Wellington Hospital (1 day), Wellington CBD (1-2 days), and our mobile unit (5 days).

Our standard hours are 7.30am - 4pm. Saturday and late night shifts (10.30am - 7pm) are rostered.

All staff rotate through all sites. A hospital car is available at the Hutt for all offsite travel.

We listen to each other and work together as a team to uphold our District values.

**About you**
- The post holder should have a New Zealand recognised post graduate mammography qualification which is BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA) accredited.
- They will perform high quality routine and specialized mammography whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
- They will assist in Stereo core biopsies, vacuum assisted biopsies and excisions.

You will also be expected to take part in the department QA Programme.
