Every day the National Cyber Security Centre's (NCSC) Cyber Security Advisors work to protect New Zealanders and their interests. They form a critical part of the wider NCSC defending national security, raising cyber resilience and facilitating digital transformation.
Your role will be to understand the cyber maturity of nationally signification organisations, delivering insights to both the NCSC and customer organisations. You'll help build the cyber resilience of Government by supporting the cyber security exercises and facilitating collaboration between organisations within key sectors that support the economy. Working with internal stakeholders and our international partners, you'll produce written advice and guidance to help protect New Zealand's most important organisations.
**We're looking for Cyber Security Advisors that**:
- Have good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Are team players, supporting a collaborative working environment
- Can build on a background in cyber security/IT or have a keen interest in cyber security and a desire to learn more
- Enjoy working directly with customers
- Are able to effectively share insights, both verbally and in writing

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
