**What does this Trainee Site Manager role involve?**

As a Trainee Site Manager, you will be reporting to the Site Manager of our busy logistics warehouse in Mangere, Auckland. Initially the role’s purpose is one of a storeperson, with Online Distribution providing exposure to how the site operates to achieve its maximum effectiveness. Then, as the role evolves, Online Distribution provides guidance and exposure to people management, further knowledge of the site’s functions and ensuring all clients are managed with absolute professionalism. Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Site Operations - responsible for the dispatch of warehouse orders & completing inwards goods in a timely and accurate manner
- Managing inventory control processing, including stocktakes and cycle counts
- Client Management - assist with the professional and proactive management of clients
- People Management - establishing clear expectations and demonstrating warehouse best practices and safety-conscious behaviour.
- Continuous improvement - Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change

Ongoing guidance and mentoring from our management team will provide opportunities to develop and improve your knowledge, experience, and skills in many areas, including people management, customer interactions, and IT systems.

We are looking for someone who is positive, has a logistics and warehousing background and amongst other things also possesses:

- Proven experience in working to deadlines with the ability to juggle priorities and tasks
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with numbers.
- The ability to anticipate business demands and bottlenecks
- Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred
- Licence for a Forklift, Aisle Master, Reach Truck, and experience with stock pickers is preferred.
- Previous experience in giving direction and dealing with staff performance would be an advantage

Our operating hours are between 5.00 am-11:00 pm, five days per week, with some weekend work available. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours a week, and the hourly rate will be a minimum of $25 an hour, maximum of $30 an hour.

Health and safety are vital to Online Distribution. Successful employment will be conditional on a pre-employment negative drug and alcohol test, a satisfactory Ministry of Justice Criminal Record check, and two satisfactory reference checks.
