**About the role**

In this newly created role, you will play a vital role in communicating our Retail strategy to New Zealand consumers. Working closely with the Corporate PR team, you will enhance our brand reputation, ensure consistency, and support our overall marketing objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

- Strategic Communication: Collaborate with the Corporate PR, Marketing, and Brand teams to bring our Retail strategy to life. Through strategic PR give the brand a story and voice that will resonate with the target consumers to drive brand salience. Align PR efforts with overall business goals and create integrated marketing campaigns. Engage with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all our key stakeholders (Customers, Government, Investor, Internal/Staff & Iwi/Communities). Manage agency relationships across Social & PR.
- Media Relations: Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- Social Media Leadership: Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Thought Leadership: Build relationships with thought leaders to enhance energy industry awareness. Stay informed about industry trends and recommend communication strategies accordingly.
- Measurement and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for PR and social campaigns. Utilize tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics to assess impact and report on campaign success.

**About you**
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in consumer Public Relations and Social Media management
- Demonstrated success in managing PR campaigns, building media relationships, and creating impactful content.
- Leadership experience: this role includes managing one direct report and requires the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
