The Programme Manager Transitional Programme is an important part of the overall LGWM Programme, incorporating improvements to all phases of delivery for the transformational Programme, including:
- Supporting the delivery of roading related projects across multiple work streams.
- Support the Transitional Programme Director to engage and manage a broad range of stakeholder relationships that may have competing interests.
This role will work with the Director Transitional Programme on all phases of the delivery of the Golden Mile, Thorndon Quay Hutt Road and City Streets projects. The Programme Manager Transitional Programme needs to demonstrate evidence of end to end delivery and all the critical success factors that will ensure this is achievable in a complex political environment, with significant resource and funding constraints.

To be successful you will have Extensive experience (10 - 15 years) in varied environments and demonstrable knowledge of and experience in:
- Programme and project management of large-scale transport or infrastructure works.
- Leading the development and delivery of robust and credible business cases for high value capital projects.
- Technical and programme leadership experience, with an extensive background in the planning and delivery of works in a complex operating environment.
- Building and leading teams of consultants to deliver a programme of work.
- Contract management and commercial negotiation.
- Construction management and delivery.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
