**Lift Mechanics wanted**

**Job Summary**:
**Work Location: Auckland**

**Permanent Position, Full-time **(guaranteed 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)**

**Number of Vacancies: 5-10 people**

**Your pay: $29.66 per hour**

We are a company with many years’ experiences in providing elevator installing and maintenance services.

As to a Lift Mechanic, you should have at least three years relevant experience or a relevant NZ or equivalent to NZ Level 4 qualification.

***Lift Mechanics are expected to**:
Ÿ Read, exam the blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine sequences and methods to install and ensure the operation of elevators.

Ÿ Collaborate with building architects, project manager etc. to determine the specifications of the project and go over plans, blueprints and wiring diagrams;
Ÿ Measure and plan for installation reference points and sequences;
Ÿ Connect suitable electrical wire and cable to terminals and connectors;
Ÿ Assemble electrical switchboards, control systems or signals in right place;
Ÿ Connect electrical wiring correctly to control panels, electric motors and power supply;
Ÿ Inspect wiring connections etc. to ensure elevators operate properly or diagnose faults by using test instruments;
Ÿ Disassemble, repair or replace defective units or faulty wiring;
Ÿ Adjust counterweights, door mechanisms and safety controls;
Ÿ Test newly installed elevator and electrical systems to ensure that meets specifications;
Ÿ Participate in additional training to keep skills up to date.
