**About the Role**

The District Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical provides strategic district clinical leadership, management oversight, and support for Allied Health, Scientific and Technical (AHST) services regionally. Fostering a culture of connectedness and continuous improvement, through collaboration and strong partnerships with clinical, multidisciplinary and operational leaders, you will aim to deliver high-quality patient care and outcomes. You will be responsible for leading, motivating and inspiring AHST colleagues, and the wider health workforce. Ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality patient care, clinical strategies and achievement of Health New Zealand’s goals. As a member of the District Leadership Team, the District Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical has a critical role in providing and demonstrating leadership including accountability for managing health resources. The role will role model interprofessional working and lead the development of advanced and extended practice which support alternative service delivery models, taking a whole of system approach to alternative models of care.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

The Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical is a senior clinical leadership role based within the district. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Operations (GDO) with a dotted professional line to the Regional Chief Allied Health Scientific and Technical (once appointed).

**About you**
- A registered professional with extensive experience in and knowledge of the health sector.
- 5+ years’ relevant senior clinical leadership experience
- In depth knowledge and experience related to clinical service provisions.
- In depth experience in and knowledge of clinical quality and best practice and improving care delivery.
- Strategic leadership capability with proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive long term success.
- Experienced in identifying and driving continuous improvement to enhance process and deliver high quality health outcomes.
- Proven ability to provide professional advice to team members in relation to clinical and operational skills and practice.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
