**Data Analyst - Decision Support Unit**

We are looking for a Data Analyst based at Rotorua Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Analyst to work as part of the Decision Support Unit Team. The position supports both clinical and non-clinical colleagues throughout the organisation through the supply of data and analytics, and also provision of data to external stakeholders.

The role involves managing information requests, maintenance of patient data collections, as well as building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external teams. This position also supports the Mental Health service.

Essential skills:

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiar with data warehousing processes and concepts

Preferable skills:

- Experience in the health sector
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Management Studio
- Experience in data presentation and visualisation tools such as Sisense, Power BI, Qlik.

This position is integral for providing data and analysis which will be used for operational and management decision making to ensure that the health care system delivers quality health care efficiently and supporting a data-driven approach to healthcare.

Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per annum
