Anaesthesia Technician

**JOB ADVERTISEMENT - ANAESTHETIC TECHNICIAN**

**About the Role**

The Anaesthetic Technician is responsible for clinical and technical assistance to the Anaesthetist during induction of, maintenance of and emergence from anaesthesia and to provide assistance and support to the theatre team.

This is a permanent, part time role to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Friday in our busy theatre department.

The successful applicant must be currently registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Sciences Council.

**Specific duties include**:

- Provide assistance to the Anaesthetist, in various surgical specialties
- Ensure the equipment and stock required are maintained
- Ensure continued education and personal development
- Safe and accurate knowledge in crisis management

**Skills and Experience**:

- At least 2 years experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Be competent in technical, measuring and computer skills
- Enthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitude

**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
