Auckland Transport (AT) keeps Auckland moving We plan and fund public transport, promote and initiate alternative ways to get around the city, operate and maintain the local road network, and manage parking and traffic systems.

We are committed to working to shape our city by delivering transport choices to get Aucklanders' where they want, when they want. We care for Auckland's transport system, and we are looking for Senior Specialist, Communication & Engagement to join us We have opportunities available North, Central, South and West locations.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies and plans to effectively support delivery of local projects and programmes. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the local project delivery team and liaise with the project stakeholders in the community.

You will have your community at the heart of everything you do. You will bring prior experience in communications roles or a similar field such as journalism, public relations or marketing. An understanding of the public sector and local government landscape will be an advantage.

You are able to work across diverse communities and lead a team that juggles many complex projects to deliver great outcomes for your organisation.

You will bring strong experience with writing and delivering communications strategies in complex environments, including strategic projects and programmes delivered over a number of months or years. You will have experience engaging with local communities about programmes or projects.
