About the role An opportunity for a Skipper for the Mussel Farm vessel the Erin a < 24m vessel has become available. The Erin has a good record of training new staff to fit into our business - the new skipper on this vessel will carry on this good work. The main work of the role includes contributing to the daily mussel harvest, seeding of spat, reseeding & block work, weekly maintenance/cleaning of equipment. Assisting with tasks on the Salmon Farm may include salmon nets, block work. This is a full-time permanent position, working Sunday to Thursday on Stewart Island. Accommodation is available. What you need to be successful in this role: Your good communication and ability to work well in a team are key skills. Youll be innovative, good at building relationships, and display the company values through all your actions and decision making. - You will need to have a current SRL / ILM / CLM ticket certificate - Current maritime medical - Current workplace First Aid Certificate - A practical understanding of responsibilities of MOSS regulations - A good level of experience in all areas of work the Erin undertakes We have great people working with us, and we are looking for someone who can fit in seamlessly with the team of hard workers, who gets on well with others and can fulfill a variety of tasks within the Team.
