Existing production technicians that have been doing this job for sometime have already moved up the ladder to achieve design engineer and project manager status; meaning that plenty of career progression is available for hard working individuals who are capable to understand the technicalities of the products and digest the internal procedures of the company.
The right level of training will be provided.
Overall duties for this role are:
- Perform precise soldering and component replacement on PCBs according to industry standards.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of solder joints to meet quality requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of PCBs to identify defects, faults or any anomalies in the production process.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand and address identified issues.
- Utilise testing equipment and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic circuitcs.
- Implement and adhere to quality control procedures throughout the repair process.
- Document findings, actions taken, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
**Job Requirements**:
- Ideal attributes to have:_
- Proven experience as. PCB repair technician or similar
- Proficient in soldering techniques and component replacement.
- Strong understanding of PCB layout, circuit diagrams, and electronic components.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
