- use your analysis and problem-solving skills to provide evidence-based solutions

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

Tertiary qualified in public policy, arts, social sciences, or a related field, we will value your passion and enthusiasm for growing your career in policy.

Your career history may have seen you working in social, community or cultural policy development, a community planning role for central/local government, or in the non-government sector where you have developed a good understanding of the issues facing communities.

You are a senior level policy professional with demonstrated experience working in policy roles. You have the ability to lead complex policy projects, task and coach junior policy advisors and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Some other skills and attributes that will enable you to be successful in this role are as follows:

- the ability to think critically and strategically
- effective and concise writing skills
- strong analytical and research skills
- the ability to effectively organise and manage work commitments to meet project objectives and deadlines
- experience in presenting advice to elected members (desirable)
