Join our Aquatics team and take your love for swimming pools to the next level We're looking for great people to help us provide fun, safe, and inclusive environments for our pool users.

Excellent customer service is one of our top priorities and you'll share our vision, making sure every customer who enters our facility has a great time with their family and friends and leaves with a smile on their face. You'll be a natural when it comes to problem-solving and thinking on your feet and have the skills to communicate with a diverse range of customer groups.

You'll need to be a capable swimmer and have the ability to stay calm in busy and pressured situations.

Here's your opportunity to join our successful aquatics team. We'll provide all the training needed to become a NZ qualified Pool Lifeguard (which includes NCEA credits) and cover the cost of your First Aid Certificate if you don't already have one.

**Location and positions available**:
**Taiora QEII**: Part-time Lifeguard Shifts
- Friday: 8:30am-5pm
- Sunday: 7:30am-11:30am
- Monday: 6:30am-3pm

**Pioneer Recreation & Sport Centre**: Part-time Lifeguard Shifts
- Friday: 1pm-9:30pm
- Friday: 1:15pm-9:45pm
- Saturday: 2pm-8pm
- Saturday: 9am-12pm
- Saturday 10am-4pm (Network)
- Monday: 5am-1:30pm

**Te Pou Toetoe****:

- Linwood**: Part-time Lifeguard Shifts
- Friday: 5am-1:30pm
- Monday: 5am-1:30pm

**Graham Condon**: Part-time Lifeguard Shifts
- Sunday: 6:30am-10:30am
- Monday: 5pm-9pm
- Part-time roles are based at one specific centre. Network roles and shifts may be required to work across any of the Christchurch City Council facilities._

**Key parts of the process**:

- You'll be required to complete a swim test prior to your interview.**Included in the position description attachment is a copy of the swim test requirements**. You must be able to pass this swim test to progress. If you're not ready for the swim test, let us know, we're happy to give you some tips to practice
- If successful after the interview stage, you will be required to undertake two full days of Lifeguard Training with a follow-up assessment to gain your Pool Lifeguard Qualification. The cost of these courses is covered by Christchurch City Council. If you already hold a PLPC you will not need to attend the Lifeguard assessment day.
- Lifeguard training will be held on Monday 14th August & Tuesday 15th August, at Taiora QEII.
- Lifeguard Assessment will be held on Monday 21st July, at Taiora QEII.

**Swim tests will be held on the below dates, at Jellie Park;**
- 24 July 1030-1.30pm

27 July 7.30-4pm

28 July 7.30-4pm

29 July 9.30-1pm

**Additional information**:

- $23.65 per hour starting rate.
