Progressive Meats are looking for staff who are a cut above the rest We are a leading edge processor of Lamb and Beef in the sunny Hawke's Bay.

We have multiple opportunities for full time, permanent employment as Meat Process Workers in 2025 and beyond. No previous experience required, just bring your positive, proactive attitude and you will go far. We are keen to provide you with the skills and experience to go be successful in the butchery trade.

Department 10-hour Shift start times Monday to Friday are:

- Lamb Slaughter _Dayshift 5:45 am, Nightshift 3:30 pm_
- Lamb Boning _Dayshift, 6:00 am, Nightshift 4:00 pm_
- Beef Boning _Dayshift 6:00 am_
- Beef Slaughter _Dayshift 5:45 am_
- Weekend availability required over Spring/Summer and Autumn._
- The minimum amount of hours per week is 30._

**About the role/s available**:

- Yard work, that is receival, wash & restrain of stock
- Removal of pelts, internal organs, heads and neck trim, tongues, udder
- Hung up of carcasses
- Grading carcasses & pelts
- Electronic certification
- Pre trim of Carcasses
- Saw Operation
- Boning individual cuts
- Packing finished product

**These roles require**:

- A genuine Interest in a career in the Primary Industry specializing in Meat Processing
- High level of physical and mental fitness
- Great attitude and work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Reliable means of transport
- Be able to pass a Drug Screen and Pre-employment Medical
- An ACC Pre-employment Check report
- A Ministry of Justice Check

The pay scale is: $26.50 - $29.66 per hour
