**DC Shift Leader - Afternoon Shift**
This is your opportunity to join a state-of-the-art warehouse operation and evolve and grow your warehouse management experience. We are an automated DC using the newest technology on the market Right now, our Auckland Distribution Centre is looking for an **DC Shift Leader** **(Mid shift)** to help lead the afternoon shift team to maximise productivity and efficiency while picking, preparing and loading customer orders, accurately to ensure exceptional service to our customers.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Group Leader DC Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running, data integrity and accuracy of the DC mid shift team by leading and managing overall performance of the team. As a Shift Leader, you will be expected to lead and support the DC team and the overall logistics strategy, up to 40 direct and indirect reports including temporary staff. You'll lead resource management by monitoring and initiating cost control measures while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement of systems and processes, as well as leading a culture strong in safety.
This role works 45 hours a week from 1.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility any day of the week including planned and scheduled weekends.
**What do I need?**
We’re not looking for just any Shift Leader - we are looking for leaders that are resilient and have a genuine passion for leading people. Your ability to plan and organise to a high level while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will prove invaluable.
To be successful you will have:
- A minimum 5 years leadership experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience in supply chain or logistics environment; ideally in FMCG
- Previous experience or working knowledge of ‘Lean Manufacturing’ is desirable as well as experience with SAP and WMS programs.
- Most importantly you must have a commitment to a zero-harm safety culture and lead this in your team.
