**Optical Assistant**:
**Waikato, Hamilton, Rototuna**

$25 - $30 Hourly

Permanent Full time (30+ hours)

**What you'll be doing**
- Assisting patients with frame selection and providing expert advice on lens options
- Carrying out pre-screening tests and measurements to support the optometrist during examinations
- Dispensing and fitting prescription eyewear, ensuring optimal fit and comfort
- Maintaining a tidy and organized dispensary, ensuring efficient inventory management
- Providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our patients
- Staying up-to-date with the latest optical industry trends and advancements

**What we're looking for**
- Experienced Optical Assistant is desirable, but full training for this role will be provided
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for people and eye care
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Proficiency in using optical equipment and computer systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively

Hours are between 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday.
