OB Enterprises Ltd contract bakes a range of chilled quiches, flans, meals, pies and muffins

under the La Baguette for Westie Food Group, Foodstuffs Auckland, and other clients. The

products are baked and chilled and are generally regarded as Heat and Eat when

purchased by the consumer. Heating instructions are included on the product labels.

We also produces a range of frozen muffin mixes.

To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for TEN Machine Operators to join us to ensure that all services to meet or exceed quality standards. You will be expected to work in Auckland. We are looking for someone who wants to develop a career in food manufacturing and who has the mechanical aptitude to learn, grow and advance in our workplace. Hours per week: 40 hours guaranteed

Hourly rate or salary band: $27.76-$28 per hour

Job description
- Operate production equipment to a very high standard
- Operate food processing machines cost-effectively: centre-lining, process equipment operation, calibration, monitoring and cleaning
- Remove materials once they are finished cooking in the equipment, and store it in the proper area, such as the fridge, cabinet or freezer
- Observe dials and gauges while the machinery is in use to ensure everything is set at the correct temperature, pressure, and adjust as necessary
- Monitor safety issues and any concerns with machinery or raise any personal safety issues with the supervisor.
- Collect samples from the machines while in the middle of processing to visually inspect the quality of the food, and adjust the defects if needed.
- Ensure company Food Safety Policies are adhered to.
- Complete all production records accurately and in full.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized working area

Applicants must have:

- Have at least 1 year experience in mechanical equipment operation and understand the basic principles of equipment operation
- Able to work nightshifts
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Able to show initiative
- Problem solving and trouble-shooting capabilities
- Have a good work ethic
- Be willing to learn
