A well established, family owned SaaS based is looking to extend their Engineering Team with a Team Lead as they establish a new squad. You’ll be partly hands on, but responsible for mentoring and growing a cross functional dev team. There’s support on both technical and people from the senior team, and a great remit as they continue to expand their product offering in a data centric environment on a modern.NET/AWS stack. You may already be an established Lead, or a Senior Developer with some mentoring experience looking to move up to a Team Lead role. Reporting to the CTO and working closely with the CISO, Product Manager, Design Lead and QA Lead, you’ll have good communication skills, able to present technical solutions across the business adn the tech knowledge to execute in an API Driven, evolving codebase.

Based in Petone, and with a client base of instantly recognisable brands across Oceana, North America and Europe, they have a well-engineered, proven product. Daily responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring a small team of developers in their daily tasks.
- Working with the Product Owners and Product Manager in scoping and planning
projects.
- Working closely with your team members in Epics, Sprints and all the other fun agile
buzzwords in order to release changes iteratively and rapidly.
- Writing clean and healthy code across the full stack from SQL to.Net through to the
front end layer.
- Modernising existing interactions in the existing code base and seeking performance
wins.
- Exploring code and infrastructure to continuously improve the performance and
- Researching, recommending and implementing best practice approaches for how we
code and work.
- Bringing your own ideas and suggestions to enhance, improve and generally make our
app awesome.
- Going the extra mile to do things right - no quick and dirty hacks here, just good solid
code

Skills And Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Visual Studio, SQL Server, CSS, HTML.

Bonus: Prior experience working within a front end environment built on React or a similar modern JavaScript framework.
- Tertiary qualified with a degree in Computer Science (or something similar), or plenty years of solid experience - we’re expecting you to get up to speed quickly.
- Self-motivation and pragmatism - you love working in a fast-paced environment and understand how to balance competing priorities and understand the benefits of delivering value to end users in an iterative manner.
- Excellent communication skills - you will be able to clearly present your ideas and rationale from a remote work setting.
- Experience with Git.
- Knowledge of OWASP security principles.
- Experience with modern CI/CD processes and DevOps.
- You must hold a genuine desire to learn fast, work with a talented team and contribute to our customers’ success
