**PAINTER**

As a dedicated and upbeat team, we have been providing painting and decorating services throughout the Auckland area for years. We are a commercial and residential painting business for interior and exterior projects, providing efficient, reliable, and impeccable services. Driven by expanding clientele, we are currently seeking 3 Painters who are passionate and agile in assisting in the high-quality painting work. Your job is essentially important as good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.

**What you will do?**
- Implementing routine work associated with painting and plastering
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders; setting up ventilators and other safety equipment to

protect painting technicians from unhealthy fumes
- Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes as directed
- Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other

protective coverings
- Removing old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds or blowtorches
- Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and

sanding them

- Cutting and hanging wallpaper, vinyl and backing paper as directed
- Following safeguards, rules and regulations

Pay rates will depend on skills and experience ranging from $26 to $30. We are a multicultural and friendly team that offers work of a wide variety. We provide the best resources and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. The role is for permanent employment based on an assured 30 working hours a week. The work will be carried out across Auckland.

**To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria**:

- At least 3 months of relevant experience in construction industry.
- Ability in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) and in various heights and

spaces while observing all safety measures.
- Physical strength, stamina and dexterity.
- Conscientious with great attention to detail
- Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards. Be able to pass a pre-employment police vetting & drug test
- Be flexible working weekends, night time required for some project.
