**Te tūranga | The Role**

**We’re looking for a driven and experienced Account Manager to join our Napier team.**This is a dynamic, on-the-road role perfect for someone who enjoys face-to-face engagement and creating meaningful connections with customers. You’ll be the key link between our clients and our business, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

In addition to your time on the road, you’ll spend a few hours each week in our Napier office based in Onekawa to stay connected with the wider team, collaborate on initiatives, and handle essential admin tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

**Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts
- Prospect and convert new clients across the Hawke's Bay region
- Maintain a strong call cycle to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Negotiate and close sales, consistently exceeding targets
- Collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to align supply with demand
- Provide tailored solutions that meet client needs
- Making deliveries to clients may be required

Note: This is not a work-from-home role and may require occasional weekend phone availability.

**Ngā āhuatanga kei a koe | About You**

You’re a confident communicator with a passion for building strong client relationships. You thrive in a target-driven environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

You’ll Bring:

- Previous experience in sales or account management within the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a bonus
- A self-motivated, independent work ethic
- A tertiary qualification is preferred
- A Class 2 Driver's license is preferred
- Knowledge of the food service industry (advantageous)
- Knowledge of the local geographical area and hospitality is mandatory
