After a hugely successful trial Waitematā DHB is now permanently introducing a Paramedic role at Waitakere Hospital as part of our Transit Team. If you are an experienced paramedic with 3-5 years experience and have an interest in working in a multidisciplinary environment please consider joining us The Transit Paramedic role will be based at Waitakere hospital and will focus on supporting our busy clinical teams out of hours to provide clinically appropriate transits and better care for our patients.
We are looking for someone with a strong clinical background, a can do attitude and a willingness to work within a complex and busy hospital environment. The work will involve transiting patients within and between our two main hospital sites (NSH and WTH) and across the region. You will be assisting with clinical tasks in the Emergency Department and supporting our multidisciplinary teams across the hospital. Shifts will be rostered late afternoon shifts (4pm - 0230am) seven days per week.
