Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Starship Child Health is looking for Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau Occupational Therapists with a passion for working with tamariki and whanau, to join the paediatric therapy team. We have opportunities across the Starship hospital setting, both on wards as well as within outpatient clinics. We have a permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) (part time considered):

- Work in partnership with tamariki, rangatahi, whanau and the interdisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes
- Unique opportunity for occupationally focused practice across the rehabilitation journey
- Develop knowledge of child development and skills in whanau family-centred practice
- Thrive within a vibrant, innovative and diverse setting amongst a supportive interdisciplinary team of Dietetics, Hospital Play Specialists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists and Social Workers

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- NZ registration as an Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau Occupational Therapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Innovative and able to communicate with others in complex decision-making.
- Motivated to develop my own as well as the team's professional practice and able to engage alongside others in the mahi required to achieve this.
- Experience in working in a hospital setting is desirable.
- Passion for improving outcomes for tamariki and whanau
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in in interdisciplinary setting

**Salary Range**: Step 2 $63135 to Step 8 $85204 (Depending on Experience)
